This is an exclusive cast member Global Ambassador pin. They rarely hand these out. The cast member has to share Walts vision and legacy while being an inspiration to other cast members and guests. This is from my mothers collection of many many many awards. It is of Cinderellas Castle on a Mickey Mouse silhouette. It is still on the card that you are presented the award with and has never been worn. She worked for Walt Disney World for 38 years right until her passing. It truly was the happiest place on earth for her. I remember as a child going on a bus tour with my parents by a little known company at the time, the Walt Disney Company. They were showing us where the different part of the parks would be, what Walt envisioned for Orlando and how it would impact local businesses. Which was fitting because it was mostly small business owners on the tour. I remember so vividly my mother turning toward my dad and I with this huge grin and telling us she was going to work there one day. Just like Walt Disneys quote You can design, create and build the most wonderful place in the world but it takes people to make the dream a reality. My mom did just that for 38 years. She was always happy especially at work and was very proud of working there! She achieved lots of accomplishments and awards because she believed in Walts vision and she lived it. If you are a Disney memorbilia collector this would be a great piece to add to your collection. Plus it hasnt even been worn! If you just love Disney and want a piece of history then you definitely would have that. She was also a Legacy award winning cast member! So take a close look and dont let this pass you by! Up for sale is probably the rarest Disney collectable pin you can get your hands on. Walt Disney World’s first ever, cast member birthday celebration pin for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. 1972 (1972) ” made in molded two-color plastic with metal clasp pin glued to the back, 1.5″-diameter. This simple and elegant pin was issued to Walt Disney World cast members to wear on their costumes on October 1, 1972 to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of Walt Disney World. The raised lettering and symbol on the front is highlighted in gold or silver color, depending on the angle at which light is reflected from the pin. This pin is in extremely good shape for its age, has minor front scratches which would be typical for a pin of this age. It is almost 50 years old! The back still has the clothing attachment pin and is still held on by the original glue. It has been in my personal collection not long after it was made. If it does not sell, then it goes back into the vault until it reaches 50 years old and goes up for sale. Although summer is around the corner, fall is not far behind. Besides weather has been up & down & you may be able to wear it sooner than you think! This is a Large Adult (L) and in decent/very good worn condition. I cannot state the fact enough it has been worn, is 18 years old & it is suede so it does have marks/light small worn marks & imperfections but still looks great & an awesome collectible that CAN be worn!!! This jacket features a beautiful embroidered crest on the front left that measure 4 1/2″ X 3″ and shows Spaceship Earth, from EPCOT, as it appeared in 2000. On the back is a very large embroidered image that measures approx 14″ tall x 10″ wide and shows the same as the front but expanded with Mickey as the Sorcerers Apprentice and the words Celebrate the Future, Hand in Hand, Walt Disney World. Has a single inside pocket with a red lining. All of the colors are still very bright and there are no major stains, no rips or tears on this incredible jacket other than info described above. This very rare jacket would make a fabulous addition to your personal collection or would be a fantastic gift for your favorite Disney / Mickey Mouse collector.
