Premier Cruise Line in 1985 became the officially licensed cruise line of Walt Disney World. Premier ended their relationship with Disney in 1993 and began a relationship with Warner Brothers. Disney then sought out other major cruise lines for exclusive partnerships, but was not able to work out a deal. In 1994 Disney announced its plan to start their own cruise line.
