(Walt Disney World, 1979) A Main Street U. A window display head made by the imagineering team of the day for The Black Hole. The head of mad Doctor Hans Reinhardt as portrayed by Maximillian Schell. This item is from Main Street. Emporium window display featuring characters from the live-action feature film, “The Black Hole”. The head measures 5.5″ tall x 3.5″ in diameter and is in very good condition with typical scratches, light cracks, and wear from Park display. Due to its significance as one of the. “First four” pressed penny designs. This piece is highly sought after and increasingly difficult to find. Featuring Disney’s mischievous chipmunk duo, this design (Presscoins #DTD0057) is an iconic addition to any Disney or Chip and Dale collection. It was available at Downtown Disney (Disney Springs) in the Disney Quest Emporium. Please note, the silver streaks visible on the penny are a natural result of the zinc core being exposed during pressing, as the machine’s pressure pushes aside the thin copper coating.
