ORIGINAL 1943’GOOFY ON A POGO STICK WITH DOG ON LEASH’ ANIMATION PRODUCTION CEL FOR WALT DISNEY’VICTORY VEHICLES. This is really a wonderful original. As anyone who collects cels know, they are consistently getting harder and harder to find and acquire. I have had a few in the past and actually have a super rare Lady and the Tramp example for sale in my store. Make sure you check that one out if you are interested in rare original Disney cels. I bought this one because I thought this was a particularly special one. This original cel comes from the 1943 Disney short “Victory Vehicles” that was created to show people ways to travel so they could save gas for the war effort during World War 2. On top of that, this actually shows Goofy on his pogo stick which actually goes with the opening song’Hop on your pogo stick. A wonderful clean and crips original painting on celluloid with the visible image measuring 8 x 8 inches. I see no cracking to the paint at all. Just some minor rippling to the celluloid. Archival double matte and black frame are complimentary and ready to hang. To take this original to the next level it comes with the original COA from “one of A Kind” Cartoon art on the back. It gives the complete description of the work. That makes it great but amazingly it gets even better. It has the original Sothebys sticker on the front that has it as lot 515. The catalogue shows the matching lot and image of this cell. Really just a complete package. Do your own research on this rare original World War 2 period Disney cel.
